Mindfulness Matters

A recent study funded by the National Institutes of Health studied the eating habits of more than 100 binge eaters.

The researchers found that those who practiced mindfulness activities were able to reduce the frequency of their binges from four times a week to once a week, a result not seen in the "non-mindful" group. The mindfulness group also said they were able to feel more in-control around food.

How do you practice mindfulness? It can be as simple as listening to a favorite song or as purposeful as meditation. Post your tips in comments.
